MC United Soccer Club
About the Club:
MC United Soccer Club (MCU) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with a mission of providing high quality soccer experiences, coaching, education and training for youth in our area. Supporting over 500 youth players from U8-U19, we are the area's largest competitive youth soccer club. MCU hails players from the Wausau, D.C. Everest and Mosinee School Districts with additional players coming from smaller districts within Marathon, Lincoln, and Langlade Counties.
MCU is a member of the Wisconsin Youth Soccer League, Central Wisconsin Soccer League, East Central Soccer League, and the Wi State Soccer League. These various affiliations allow for a tailored experience for players at all levels and abilities.
MCU teams compete in our fall and spring home tournaments, as well as 2 fall away tournaments throughout the state and 2 spring away tournaments throughout the state. In spring, teams compete in league games which are held on weeknights throughout central and east central Wisconsin.
We have a variety of levels of teams from U8, U9 and U10 Academies to Classic Teams at each age group to Select and State Teams. Select and State Teams are our most competitive teams and require additional travel and commitment from players and families.
MCU home fields are located at the People's Sports Complex at 602 E Kent Street, Wausau, WI 54403. In winter/early spring, MCU trains at the indoor turf facility at Greenheck Turner Community Center at 6400 Alderson Street, Weston, WI 54476.
MCU tournaments:
- The MCU Mountain Bay Cup is traditionally held the first weekend of May and attracts over 150 teams and over 5,000 visitors to the People's Sports Complex and area. Teams have hailed from across Wisconsin, Minnesota and Michigan. It is quickly becoming a premier early May tournament.
The Fall Cup is traditionally held the second weekend in September at the People's Sports Complex and attracts over 125 teams and 4,000 spectators to the area.
The Winter Classic is a 7v7 indoor tournament held in March at the Greenheck Turner Community Center. This tournament features teams from across Wisconsin and is quickly becoming the destination winter tournament for players.
Our tournaments stimulate the local economy - from room nights to gas to restaurants to attractions - over $1.25 million in economic impact.
Thank You.
Coach Nye and Coach Verhasselt are outstanding. Not only did they take the time to grow our daughter's knowledge of the game, but also her love for the sport.

Endless Opportunities
Without MC United Scholarship program we our children would not be able to play. The board took the time to listen and help find a way to make it possible and for that I am so grateful.
